Upon successful completion of the Horticulture - Nursery Management certificate, the student demonstrates skills, knowledge, and training to take the State Nursery Association CCN California Certified Nurseryman pro test for the following employment positions in the Nursery field: retail sales, growing of nursery stock, growing of floriculture plants, maintenance and upkeep of plant material and starting a personal business.

We are now offering the choice of two specialist streams in horticulture. You can choose to specialise in either landscaping or nursery and garden. In the landscaping stream you will learn hands on skills in paving, concreting, timber structures as well as plant identification, pest and disease management, plant propagation and plant establishment. In the nursery and garden stream you will learn skills in plant propagation, pest, disease and weed management, retail and wholesale nursery skills, customer service and plant establishment and garden maintenance. AHC Certificate III in Production Horticulture is a nationally recognised qualification covering the skills and knowledge relating to the horticulture industry such as maintaining plants, treating pests and diseases, landscaping and drainage systems. This qualification has been superseded and is currently in a transition to a new qualification. In line with our registering body requirements the existing qualification is still able to be enrolled in, completed and have qualifications issued.
